Overview

After being redesigned last year, GMC's full-size truck enters 2008 with only minor changes. The GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab is available in eight models: Work Truck and SLE trims in either 2WD or 4WD and short bed or long bed configurations. The Sierra is built on GM's newer full-size truck. Choices of engines include a 195 horsepower 4.3L V-6, a 295 horsepower 4.8L V8 , and a 5.3L V8 that generates 315 horsepower and 388 lb-ft of torque (also available in a Flex Fuel version). All engine choices are mated to an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission.
