Overview
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 last had a manufacturer update on 05/02/2008. The Chevrolet Corvette returns for 2008 with a few changes. It remains available in both coupe and convertible bodystyles and also the Z06 coupe. The base coupe and convertible are powered by a new LS3 6.2L V-8 engine generating 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. The same engine equipped with the new optional two-mode exhaust system increases the output to 436 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. The Z06 keeps its powerful 505 horsepower 7.0L V8 engine. Both engines are mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission with an optional six-speed paddle shift automatic transmission available on the base models. Two new exterior colors are also available: Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat and Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was last redesigned in 2005; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
