Overview
The GMC Canyon Extended Cab SLE 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 05/02/2008. The 2008 GMC Canyon is available in several bodystyles, trims, and drivetrain configurations: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, Extended Cab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, and four trim levels, Work Truck, SL and SLE (Regular and Extended Cab) and Base Crew Cab. Engine choices include a 2.9L 185 horsepower in-line four-cylinder engine (standard on all models) or an optional 3.7L in-line five-cylinder engine that generates 242 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. All models can be upgraded with a traction control system, locking rear axle, head curtain side-impact air bags with passenger sensing air bag cut-off system, trailer hitch, and conventional spare tire. The GMC Canyon Extended Cab SLE 2WD was introduced in 2004; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
