Overview

After being redesigned in 2007, the Eclipse Spyder enters 2008 with only minimal changes. It is again available in two trims, GS and GT, and in two transmission options, five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. The GS is powered by a 162-hp 2.4L I-4 engine, while the GT boasts a 3.8L V6 engine producing 260 horsepower. Revisions for this year include new standard 18-inch alloy wheels on the GT and three new exterior colors: Optimist Green, Rave Red, and Northstar White. A Tire pressure monitor is now standard on all models as well. The GT Premium Package also adds sword silver finish 18-inch wheels and aluminum scuff plates.
