Overview
The Pontiac Solstice last had a manufacturer update on 05/28/2008. Returning for 2008, the Pontiac's two-seater roadster is available in two trims: base and GXP. The base Solstice is powered by a 2.4L 177-horsepower engine, whereas the GXP boasts a 2.0L 260-horsepowerTurbo engine. Standard amenities include Onstar communication system with hands-free telephone, drivers information center, and a AM/FM/CD stereo system with MP3 capablilties. Safety features include tire pressure monitor, tire repair kit, and dual front airbags. A Premium Package offering leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and steering wheel touch controls is available on the GXP. Also new for 2008 is a new exterior color: Brazen Inferno Orange. Late in the model year, two SCCA trims were added to the Solstice line-up. The Pontiac Solstice was introduced in 2006; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
