Overview

After being completely redesigned last year, the GMC Yukon returns for 2008 available in several trims: SLE, SLT, Denali, and Hybrid in 2WD or 4WD configurations. Gas engines choices include a 4.8L V8, a Vortec 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management, which produces 320 horsepower, and a 6.0L V8 with VVT and Active Fuel Management. The Active Fuel Management system switches between eight and four cylinders in order to conserve fuel. The Yukon Denali is powered by a 380 hp 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Head curtain airbags are now standard on all models. Two new exterior colors are also offered for this year: Stealth Gray and Sonoma Red. A Yukon Hybrid will be introduced later in the model year.
