Overview

The Chevrolet Suburban 2500 LT 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 05/16/2008. The Suburban returns for this year available in several trims: LS, LT, and LTZ in either 1500 or HD 2500 series with 2WD or 4WD configurations. Engines choices for the 1500 series included two versions of the Vortec 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management (one is an all aluminum engine while the other is produced with an iron block), which produces 310 horsepower and 335 lbs-ft of torque and a 6.0L V8 with VVT and Active Fuel Management. The Active Fuel Management system switches between eight and four cylinders in order to conserve fuel. An iron block version of the 6.0L V8 with VVT is offered on the 2500 series. All engines are mated to a heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission. The Chevrolet Suburban 2500 LT 2WD was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
