Overview

The Volkswagen Touareg 2 TDI last had a manufacturer update on 12/14/2007. New this year, the Touareg has been redesigned and the second generation badged as "Touareg 2" for 2008. Available in three models--V6, V8 and TDI, the new vehicle sees as host of changes. The interior has been updated to appear more modern and luxurious. This was achieved through use of higher quality materials, richer colors, as well as an improved fit and finish. A new instrument cluster with larger display screen offers more customization for the driver. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard or with an quad-zone system optional. Engineering updates include a new fuel management system that delivers more horsepower and torque but also increased fuel economy. The TDI comes with a 5.0L V10 310hp engine. The Volkswagen Touareg 2 TDI was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2010.
