Overview

For 2008, Saturn introduces the all-new Astra to its lineup of cars. It is available in three models: XE four-door, XR four-door, and XR two-door. The Astra is the first Saturn to incorporate Saturn's new European-inspired contemporary design language. All models are powered by a 1.8L DOHC VVT Ecotec four-cylinder engine that produces 140 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to either the standard five-speed manual or the optional four-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety feature include roof rail head curtain air bags, seat-mounted thorax/pelvic air bags, tire pressure monitoring system, and OnStar with one year of Safe & Sound service.
