Overview
The Scion xB (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 09/21/2007. The all-new 2008 Scion xB has been completely redesigned. The xB is equipped with a 2.4L DOHC four-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). This is the same engine found on the tC that produces 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. That is an increase of 55 more horsepower than the previous model year. The engine is mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic with sequential shifting. This is a first for automatic four-speeds in the Scion or Toyota line-up. A 160-watt Pioneer audio system with iPod connectivity and control, Scion Sound Processing (SSP), satellite radio compatibility, MP3 and WMA capability, and Automatic Sound Leveling (ASL) and Sound Retouch Technology (SRT) is now standard on the xB. The Scion xB (Auto) was last redesigned in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
