The Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab Lariat 2WD Long Bed last had a manufacturer update on 02/01/2008. The new 2008 Ford F250 is available in several bodystyles, trims, and drivetrain configurations: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, SuperCab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, short or long bed lengths, and five trim levels, XL, XLT, FX4, Lariat, and King Ranch. Engine choices include a 5.4L Triton V8, a Power Stroke 6.4L turbo diesel V8, and the 6.8L Triton V10 that generates 362 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. Ford's TorqShift heavy-duty five-speed automatic transmission is offered on all engine choices along side the standard six-speed manual transmission. The available TowCommand System includes an electronic trailer brake controller that is tied in to the truck's anti-lock braking system and activates when it detects poor traction.
