Overview
The Ford Escape Hybrid 4WD last had a manufacturer update on 05/01/2008. Ford's small crossover returns for 2008 with many changes inside and outside. The Escape is again available in several trims: XLS, XLT 2.3L, XLT 3.0L, Limited, and Hybrid. The base 2.3L I-4 engine produces 153 horsepower, while the 3.0L V6 engine boasts 200 horsepower and 193 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrid features a "full" hybrid 2.3L I-4 engine, which can run fully on electricity up to 25 mph for fuel efficient city driving. Revisions for 2008 include new storage options, improved cabin quietness, more available luxury amenities, a restyled interior dash configuration. The exterior also receives a new look, along with integrated running boards and available 17-inch wheels. The Ford Escape Hybrid 4WD saw minor changes in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes..
