Overview

The all-new 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab is available in three trims: Work Truck, LT and LTZ trim in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. The Silverado is built on GM's new full-size truck platform with a redesigned exterior as well as an updated interior. Choices of engines include a 195 horsepower 4.3L V-6, a 295 horsepower 4.8L V8 , a 315 horsepower 5.3L V8 (also available in a Flex Fuel version), and a 367 horsepower 6.0L high-output V8 engine. All engine choices are mated to an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. New safety features include safety belt pretensioners that activate during a rear-end crash, optional roof-mounted head curtain side air bags, and optional StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation technology.
