Overview
The Toyota Highlander Sport 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 07/25/2007. Toyota's midsize crossover receives several safety enhancements for 2007, including standard front side-impact airbags and second-row side curtain airbags. Highlander trims include Base, Sport, and Limited, all with either FWD or 4WD. Engine choices include a 155-hp 2.4 I-4 or a 3.3L V6 that produces 215 horsepower, paired to a four-speed or five-speed automatic transmission. Offered in two- or three-row configurations, the Highlander boasts 80.6 cubic ft of cargo space when the second-row is folded flat. Options include a touch screen DVD navigation system, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, leather seating, and the feature-packed Extra Value Package. The Highlander Hybrid information is available in a separate vehicle report. The Toyota Highlander Sport 2WD was introduced in 2001 and a redesign is expected in 2008.
