Overview
Introduced last year, the Mazda5 enters 2007 available in three trims: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. A cross between a wagon and a mini-van, the Mazda5 is powered by a 2.3L four-cylinder engine, generating 153 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed sport automatic transmission. The rear passenger side doors slide open to allow for easy access. With a pair of bucket seats in the second row and a folding third row bench seat, the Mazda5 seats up to six people. Both rows of seats can be folded flat for larger cargo space. The touring Model upgrades the Sport model with body colored side mirrors, fog lights, rear liftgate, auto climate controls, and an in-dash six disc CD changer audio system with six speakers. The Mazda Mazda5 Grand Touring was introduced in 2006; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
