The Ford F150 Regular Cab XLT 2WD Short Bed last had a manufacturer update on 04/11/2007. The F150 returns for 2007 available in several bodystyles, trims, and drivetrain configurations: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, Super Cab, and SuperCrew Cab bodystyles, short, standard or long bed lengths, and five trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, FX4 (4WD models), and Lariat. Engine choices include a 4.2L V6 engine, a 4.6L Triton V8 and 5.4L Triton V8 that generates 300 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. The 4.2L V6 has increased in horsepower from 231 to 248. The 5.4L Triton V8 is also available in an E-85- capable flexible fuel version that can use up to 85 percent ethanol. Updated features for this model year include new front grille on XLT and Lariat models, an optional DVD-based navigation radio with in-dash screen, and a tire pressure monitoring system is now standard on all models. The Ford F150 Regular Cab XLT 2WD Short Bed was last redesigned in 2004, with minor changes expected again in 2009.
