Overview
After years in hiatus, Volkswagen re-introduces the Rabbit, which replaces the Golf. Available in two or four door hatchback bodystyles, the Rabbit is power by a 2.5L inline five-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. A Partial Zero Emissions version is also available in some states at no extra charge. The powertrain is completed with either a five-speed manual transmission or a Tiptronic six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment on all models includes anti-lock brakes, a CD player, keyless entry remote, cruise control, and power convenience features. Optional features offered on the Rabbit include an electronic stabilization program, a six-disc CD changer, a tire pressure monitoring system, rear side impact airbags, and alloy wheels.
