The Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD Short Bed last had a manufacturer update on 01/22/2007. The 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Regular Cab returns for 2007 rebadged as the Silverado Classic 1500 Regular Cab. It remains available in several models: Work Truck, LS, and LT in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Available engines include the 4.3L V6, 4.8L V8, or 5.3L gas or flex fuel V8, all coupled with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger airbags, and daytime running lights. Several options are available, including power glass moonroof, XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar Communications system. The Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD Short Bed saw minor changes in 2003, and is expected to be redesigned in 2008.
