The Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 Extended Cab Work Truck 4WD Long Bed last had a manufacturer update on 01/22/2007. The 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab returns for 2007 rebadged as the Silverado Classic 1500 Extended Cab. It remains available in several models: Work Truck, LS, LT, and Hybrid trims in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Available engines include the standard 4.8L V8, 5.3L gas, flex fuel, or Hybrid V8, and 6.0L high-output V8, all coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger airbags, and daytime running lights. Several options are available, including power glass moonroof, XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar Communications system. A rear seat entertainment system with DVD player and LCD screen is also available on models. The Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 Extended Cab Work Truck 4WD Long Bed saw minor changes in 2003, and is expected to be redesigned in 2008.
