Overview
The 2006 Sierra 3500 Extended Cab returns for 2007 rebadged as the Sierra Classic 3500 Extended Cab. It remains available in eight models: Work Truck, Base, SLE, and SLT trim in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. A powertrain consisting of a 6.0L 300-hp Vortec V-8 engine mated to either a four-speed automatic transmission is available as standard equipment on all Extended Cab models. A 330 horsepower 8.1L V8 engine or a 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine producing 360 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque are also available. Available with the optional engines are a five-speed manual transmission or an Allison six-speed automatic transmission. Several options are available, including XM Satellite Radio and OnStar Communications system.
