Overview
The GMC Sierra Classic 1500 Extended Cab SLE Hybrid 4WD last had a manufacturer update on 01/22/2007. The 2006 Sierra 1500 Extended Cab returns for 2007 rebadged as the Sierra Classic 1500 Extended Cab. It remains available in nine models: Work Truck, SL, SLE, SLE Hybrid, and SLT trim in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. Engine choices range from a 4.3L V6 that generates 195 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque to a High Output 6.0L V8 engine producing 345 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. The SLE Hybrid's are equipped with a Vortec 5.3L V8 engine coupled with a compact 14-kw electric induction motor. All engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Several options are available, including power glass moonroof, XM Satellite Radio, OnStar Communications system and dual zone automatic climate control. The GMC Sierra Classic 1500 Extended Cab SLE Hybrid 4WD saw minor changes in 2003, and is expected to be redesigned in 2008.
