Overview
The GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 01/22/2007. The 2006 Sierra 3500 Regular Cab returns for 2007 rebadged as the Sierra Classic 3500 Regular Cab. It remains available in six models: Work Truck, SL, and SLE trims in either 2WD or 4WD. All 4WD models are available in single rear wheels or dual rear wheels configurations. A powertrain consisting of a 6.0L 300-hp Vortec V-8 engine mated to either a four-speed automatic transmission is available as standard equipment on all Regular Cab models. A 330 horsepower 8.1L V8 engine or a 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine producing 360 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque are also available. Available with the optional engines are a five-speed manual transmission or an Allison six-speed automatic transmission. The GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD saw minor changes in 2003, and is expected to be redesigned in 2008.
