Overview
Ford's midsize sedan enters 2007 with only a few changes, returning in five trims: S, SE, SE V6, SEL, and SEL V6. The Fusion is powered by either a 160-hp 2.3L I-4 engine or a 3.0L V6 engine that produces 221 horsepower and 205 lb-ft of torque. Equipment lists have been expanded for this year, giving SE models 16-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, and a six-disc CD change. SEL trims now add heated mirrors, an electrochromatic rearview mirror, a compass, and automatic headlights. And for the first time, all models receive standard front seat side airbags, side-impact air curtains, and an alarm system. A new optional all-wheel drive system can also be added to the Fusion. Other options include a satellite radio, a navigation system, and a rear spoiler. SE AWD and SEL AWD trims will be added later in the model year.
