Overview
The Ford Freestar Limited last had a manufacturer update on 11/01/2006. The 2007 Ford Freestar is available in four trims: SE, SEL, Limited, and Cargo van models. Two engine choices are available on the Freestar. The SE and Cargo Van's receive a 3.9L V6 with 193 horsepower and 240 lbs-ft of torque while the SEL and Limited are equipped with a 4.2L V6 producing 201 horsepower and 263 lbs-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The Freestar shows it's versatility with the third row bench seat that folds-away into the floor, leaving a flat cargo compartment. Safety features include the optional three-row front-to-back head protection air bags and standard front and rear disc brakes with ABS. A DVD entertainment system, power adjustable pedals, and AdvanceTrac stability control are also available. The Ford Freestar Limited was introduced in 2004 and is scheduled to be retired in 2007.
