Overview
The Sportage enters 2007 with no major changes and is again available in two trim levels, LX and EX. Kia offers two powertrain options for its compact sport utility: a 140-hp 2.0L I-4 engine (coupled to either a manual or automatic transmission) and a 173-hp 2.7L V6 engine (fitted with a four-speed Sportmatic transmission). Unique interior features on the Sportage include the Drop & Fold rear seating system, a fold-flat front passenger seat, and various storage compartments. Other standard equipment includes ABS brakes, power convenience features, traction control, and six airbags. Optional on all EX models is the Luxury Package, which adds leather seats, heated front seats, automatic headlights, the HomeLink system, and an upgraded sound system. The Kia Sportage LX 4WD (Manual) was last redesigned in 2005; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
