Overview
The Toyota Prius last had a manufacturer update on 07/25/2007. The Toyota Prius returns for 2007 available in two trims: Base and Touring. The Prius remains powered by Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive that combines a 1.5L VVT-i four-cylinder engine with an electric drive motor. Front seat-mounted side impact air bags and front and rear side curtain air bags are now standard equipment. The Touring model adds 16 inch alloy wheels, larger rear spoiler, tuned suspension, and High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights. Optional features on the Prius include a rear back-up camera, vehicle stability control, and a JBL audio system that features MP3 capabilities and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. All optional features are placed in packages and can not be ordered separately. The Toyota Prius was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2010.
