Overview
The Chevrolet Malibu SS last had a manufacturer update on 04/30/2007. The Chevy Malibu enters 2007 available in either a sedan or Maxx hatchback bodystyle, as well as in several trims: LS (sedan only), LT, LTZ, and SS. Standard features across the board include body-colored side molding with chrome accents, power-assisted driver seat height adjusters, rear door child locks and a CD audio system. The higher trims offer the addition of keyless entry, daytime running lights, automatic air conditioning, and premium aluminum wheels. LS and LT models are equipped with a 2.2L I4 engine, LTZ models are powered by a 217-hp 3.5L V6 engine, and SS models boast a 3.9L V6 engine producing 240 horsepower. A four-speed automatic transmission is featured on all models, with a manual-mode on the SS. The Chevrolet Malibu SS was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2009.
