Overview
For 2007, the Chevy Equinox returns with a few minor changes. It remains available in four models: LS and LT in 2WD or AWD configurations. The Equinox is equipped with a 185 horsepower 3.4L V6 engine mated to a standard five-speed automatic transmission. New features for this model year include StabiliTrak stability control system, four wheel disc brakes with ABS, driver information center, tire pressure monitoring system, and a redesigned front and rear fascia. Granite Gray Metallic, Deep Ruby Metallic, and Silverstone Metallic are new exterior colors for this model year. Many options are available, including the OnStar communication system, heated leather seats, a power sunroof, side impact airbags, and an MP3-compatible stereo system. The Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD was introduced in 2005 and a redesign is expected in 2010.
