Overview
First launched in Europe in 1999, the 2007 Toyota Yaris finally makes its U.S. debut. The Yaris is available in three models: Base sedan and hatchback and S sedan. All models are powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that generates 106 hp and 103 lb-ft of torque. The 1.5L engine will be mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include advance dual-stage front airbags, front passenger seat sensor, and LATCH child safety seat anchors. Front seat mounted side airbags with first and second row side curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes are also available as an option. Several option packages are available including a Cold Area Package, a Convenience Package (standard on the S model) and a Power Package. The Toyota Yaris (Auto) was introduced in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
