Overview

For 2007, the GMC Yukon XL has been completely redesigned. It is available in three trims: SLE and SLT in 2WD or 4WDconfiguration and Denali 4WD. Engines choices include two versions of the Vortec 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management (one is an all aluminum engine while the other is produced with an cast iron block), which produces 320 horsepower and 340 lbs-ft of torque and a 6.0L V8 with VVT and Active Fuel Management. The Active Fuel Management system switches between eight and four cylinders in order to conserve fuel. The Yukon Denali is powered by a 380 hp 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Other new features include optional head curtain air bags, power liftgate, rear camera system, and a power fold and tumble second row seat for easier third row access.
