Overview

For 2007, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class returns with an upgraded design featuring sharper angles and a cleaner line frame. The S550 (available in RWD or AWD) is powered by an all-new 5.5-liter, 382-horsepower, V8 engine mated to the first ever seven-speed automatic transmission. The S600 model boasts a 5.5-liter twin-turbo 512-horsepower V12 engine. The S65 AMG boasts a 6.0L Twin Turbo V12 engine producing 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Standard amenities include a the COMAND system, the TeleAid communication system, a navigation system, pneumatic door-and-trunk-closing assists, head protection window curtain air bags, and side impact air bags. Optional features include the Distonic Plus System, panorama roof, heated steering wheel, and the newly introduced infra-red night vision. The Mercedes-Benz S550 was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
