Overview

The Toyota Prius returns for 2006 with a few minor updates. Updates on the Prius include restyled headlights and taillights, darker colored seat fabric, textured instrument panel and an advance airbag system. The advance airbag system uses sensors to determine the severity of the impact and deploys the appropriate amount of force to the airbags. The Prius is still powered by Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive that combines a 1.5L VVT-i four-cylinder engine with an electric drive motor. A rear back-up camera and a JBL audio system that features MP3 capabilities and Bluetooth technology are a couple of new optional equipment on the Prius. All optional features are placed in packages and can not be ordered separately.
