Overview

The Volkswagen Touareg returns for 2005 with no major changes. It is available in three models: Touareg V6, Touareg V8, and the Touareg V10 TDI. Engine choices remain between a 220 hp 3.2L V6, a 310 hp 4.2L V8, or the 310 hp 5.0L V10 Turbo. A new 3.6L FSI V6 engine will replace the 3.2L V6 engine later in the model year. A new advance DVD navigation system with audio CD capability for audible commands will also be available later in the model year. The V6 models are now equipped with an updated brake system that includes anti-lock braking system. The V8 models now feature the same Servotronic power steering that once was standard only on the V10 model. Cell phone preparations with Bluetooth capability will be added as a standard feature some time during the model year.
