Overview

For 2006, Honda introduces the all-new eighth generation Civic. The Civic will be available in coupe and sedan configurations in several trims including DX, LX, EX, Hybrid, and Si. There are three engine choices available on the Civic: a 140 hp 1.8L i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, a hybrid 1.3L i-VTEC four cylinder engine combined with a 20 hp electric engine, and the performance oriented 190 hp 2.0L i-VTEC four-cylinder engine found in the Si. Besides its redesigned exterior and interior, the Civic also receives a few new standard features on all models. These consist of side curtain and front side airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, active front seat head restraints, telescoping steering wheel, and Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure.
