Overview

For 2006, the Dakota Club Cab returns with minor changes. It remains available in six models: ST, SLT, and Laramie in 2WD or 4WD configurations. All models are powered by a 210 horsepower 3.7L V6 engine mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a new variable line pressure four-speed automatic transmission. The Club Cabs now feature a full-swing rear door that opens almost 180 degrees. Three new packages are now available on the Dakota. The TRX and TRX4 Off-Road packages feature unique 16-inch aluminum wheels, tow hooks and off-road tires. The R/T package is equipped with a 260 horsepower 4.7L high output V8 and a unique appearance package. The Night Runner package on the SLT trim features a blacked-out color scheme and 17-inch black chrome wheels.
