Overview
The Porsche Cayman S last had a manufacturer update on 01/03/2007. The Cayman, introduced last year, returns for 2007 now available in two models: base and S. The Cayman base features a 2.7L six-cylinder Boxer engine producing 254 horsepower. The Cayman S is equipped with a 3.4L flat-six engine boasting 295-hp, 255 lb-ft of torque, a 0 to 60 time of 5.1 seconds, and a top speed of 171 mph. Essentially a Boxster with a steel roof and hatchback, the Cayman is also fitted with stiffer springs, larger wheels, thicker anti-roll bars, ceramic composite brakes, and an active suspension system. Transmission choices include a short-shift six-speed manual transmission or five-speed Tiptronic transmission. Other options include several interior trim packages and a Sport Chrono Package, which includes a sport button, a lap-time counter, and enhanced brakes. The Porsche Cayman S was introduced in 2006; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
