Overview

Saab's first ever SUV returns for 2006 with a hand-full of changes. Linear and Arc model designations have been dropped and the 9-7X is now offered two engine trims, 4.2i and 5.3i V8. The 4.2L inline six-cylinder engine receives a 15 horsepower increase, bringing its output total to 290. Also new for this year, the 300-hp 5.3L V8 engine has been given a unique fuel-saving technology in the standard Displacement on Demand system. Also, new standard equipment has been added to both models, including StabiliTrak control system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power moonroof. New exterior paint colors round out the list of changes, with Saab now offering Winter White, Graphite Grey, and Lingonberry Red on all 9-7X models.
