Overview

The Saab 9-5 returns for 2006 with a freshened exterior and a consolidation of trims. It is now available as a 9-5 Sedan or 9-5 SportCombi wagon. Both models are powered by a 2.3L Turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 260 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic Sentronic transmission. Updates to the exterior of the 9-5 include the hood, front and rear fascia, front and rear lamps, front fenders, tailgate, and trunk lid. On the inside it receives new instrument panel, door handles, steering wheel, door panel trim, and audio system that is equipped with MP3 and XM Satellite radio. A Visibility Package is available on both models and includes xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and rear parking assist.
