Overview

The 2006 Porsche Boxster is available in two trims: base and S. The base model is equipped with a 240 hp 2.7L six-cylinder engine while the S receives a 3.2L six-cylinder engine that produces 280 hp and 236 lbs-ft of torque. New options available on the Boxster include an electronic logbook to record mileage, journey length, date, and time and an extended navigation module that allows the driver to trace his or her way back to a starting point even when the road does not appear on the navigation system's internal map. Standard equipment on the Boxster includes premium wheels, an automatically controlled rear spoiler, and heated outside mirrors. Optional features include a rear Park Assist system, upgraded wheels, a BOSE sound system, and adaptive sport seats.
