Overview

For 2006, the Mitsubishi Montero returns as a carryover from the previous model year. It remains available only in Limited trim. Standard equipment on the Montero includes a 3.8L V-6 engine that produces 215-hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed Sportronic transmission with clutchless manual shift mode. The Montero also features a MultiMode antilock braking system that tailors the ABS response to accommodate different surfaces. Other features include rear air conditioning, power sunroof, heated and folding power side mirrors, leather seats, and woodgrain interior trim. The Montero has a number of accessories available such as a bike carrier, grille guard, and a rear entertainment system package with wireless headphones.
