Overview

For 2006, the Colorado returns with a few minor changes. Some of the changes include the addition of an optional Sun and Sound Package on the LT models, upgraded cloth materials on the LT upholstery and Crew Cab seatback, and one new exterior color: Blue Granite Metallic. Regular Cab versions are available in four models: LS or LT trim, in either 2WD or 4WD configuration. The base engine is a 2.8L 175 hp in-line four cylinder, while a 220 hp 3.5L in-line five-cylinder engine is available as an upgrade. Both engines are available with either a manual or an automatic transmission. An optional Sport Suspension Package that features a lowered ride height, 17-inch wheels with low profile tires, and body-colored exterior components is also available.
