Overview

The 2006 Ranger returns with a new appearance and a few new package and powertrain options. The Ranger is available in a variety of trim and body configurations, including several trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Sport, FX4, and FX4 Level II, and three cab choices: Regular and SuperCab in two door or four door configurations. The exterior has been updated with revised bumper colors, grille inserts, fender flares, and tail lights. Added to the list of option packages available on the Ranger are a Bright Trim Package and a XLT 2WD Appearance Package. Engine choices on the Ranger include a 143-hp 2.3L four-cylinder, a 148-hp 3.0L V6, or a 4.0L V-6 producing 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. New exterior colors consist of Screaming Yellow, Torch Red, and Redfire Metallic.
