Overview

Returning for 2006 after making it's debut in 2005, the Ford Freestyle is available in six models--SE, SEL, and Limited in 2WD and AWD. All come equipped with a standard 2.3-hp 3.0L V6 paired to a Continuously Variable Tansmission (CVT). Ford is marketing the Freestyle as a crossover vehicle that has many of the features and handling characteristics of a passenger car, while having the look and capabilities of an SUV. Standard features include fold down 1st row and fold flat 2nd and 3rd row seats, a roof rack with tie downs, flared wheel arches with 17-inch wheels (18-inch wheels are available on the Limited), and rear privacy glass. Select options include an Entertainment System and a three-row Safety Canopy (TM) with rollover sensors.
