Overview
The Golf enters 2006 initially available in two four-door trims, GL and GLS, and in two engine choices, a 115-hp 2.0L and 1.9L TDI. Standard equipment on Volkswagen's compact hatchback includes anti-lock brakes, a CD player, keyless entry remote, cruise control, and power convenience features. The optional Cold Weather Package equips heated front seats and heated windshield washer nozzles. Other options offered by Volkswagen include the Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP), a six-disc CD changer, rubber floor mats, and splash guards. A redesigned fifth-generation Golf, which will feature a larger frame and more powerful engine choices, will be available in the spring of 2006.
