Overview

The 2006 Suburban remains available in both 1500 and 2500, in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. The Suburban 1500's are equipped with a 5.3L Vortec V-8 engine producing 295 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. The 2500's boast a 6.0L V-8 engine that generates 335 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque. A Z71 Off-Road Package, available only on 4WD models, includes off-road suspension, skid plates, wheel flares, tubular side-steps, and upgraded wheels and tires. Optional features on all models include six-disc CD changer, adjustable pedals, Autoride suspension, and navigation system. A Sun, Sound and Entertainment Package containing DVD player, overhead LCD display, XM satellite radio, and power sunroof is available on all models.
