Overview

The Subaru Baja AWD returns for 2006 with little change. The Baja is available in two models: Sport and Turbo. The Sport features a 2.5L, 165-hp four-cylinder engine, while the Turbo receives a 210-hp turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder boxer engine. Both models may be ordered with either the standard five-speed manual with overdrive or the optional four-speed automatic transmission. The Baja Turbo can also be equipped with a leather interior package (listed as a model), which features leather trimmed upholstery, unique alloy wheels, and a power driver's seat. The Baja is equipped with rear seatbacks tha fold down to add interior storage, as well as a switchback panel between the cargo bed and interior section that can be lowered to extend the cargo area.
