Overview

For 2006, the Colorado returns with a few minor changes. Some of the changes include the addition of an optional Sun and Sound Package on the LT models, upgraded cloth materials on the LT upholstery and Crew Cab seatback, and one new exterior color: Blue Granite Metallic. Extended Cab versions are available in four models: Base or LS trim, in either 2WD or 4WD configuration. A 2.8L 175 horsepower in-line four-cylinder engine remains standard on all models, while a 220 horsepower 3.5L in-line five-cylinder engine is available as an option. All engines are mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The optional Street Pack gives a color-keyed look to the base models exterior and interior.
