Overview

The 2006 Ascender is available in four models: 5-Passenger and 7-Passenger models in 2WD or 4WD configurations. All models come equipped with a standard 291 hp 4.2L in-line six cylinder engine with an optional 300 hp 5.3L V8 engine available on the 7-Passenger models. Option packages available on all Ascenders include a Leather Package, LS Package, and Preferred Package. The 5-Passenger models can be ordered with a luxury package that includes auto dimming rear view mirror, roof rail air bags, 8-way power heated front seats, leather interior, and Premium Bose sound system. The 7-Passenger V8 models are available with a Limited Package that consist of the Luxury Package but also adds rain sensing wipers and dual power outside heated mirrors with memory.
