Overview

The 2006 Acura TL returns as a carryover model. The TL does receive a new Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Acura has increased the powertrain warranty on all models from four years or 50,000 miles to six years or 70,000 miles. The powertrain remains a 3.2L VTEC V6 engine mated to your choice of a five-speed Sequential SportShift automatic or a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission. The engine control module has been updated on the six-speed manual transmission to help reduce torque steer during acceleration. All models feature a multi-channel DVD audio system that utilizes six distinct channels instead of just two. This system is matched with an eight-speaker surround sound system to increase the sound resolution to 500 times that of a normal CD.
