Overview

Mercedes-Benz introduces a brand new R-Class for 2006. This luxury sport wagon is available in two engine trims, the 268-hp V6 engine R350 and the more powerful R500, which features a V8 boasting 302 horsepower. Highlights include seating for six, an optional panoramic sunroof, a premium sound system, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and full-time 4MATIC 4WD. Passenger safety is bolstered with anti-lock brakes, the Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP), four-wheel traction control, dual-stage front airbags, and side impact airbags. An optional AMG Sport Package can be equipped, adding exterior and mechanical enhancements, as well as 19-inch wheels and tires.
